Independent Hoops Exclusive Runs Final Four: Scouts Notes
The Independent Hoops Exclusive Runs Final 4 event in Gilbert, Arizona, held at Inspire Court during Final 4 Weekend, April 5th – 7th featured an electrifying showcase of basketball talent. The event brought together prospects from around the west. We were in the gym taking detailed notes, here’s a look at our scouts notebook.
Gianni McGhee 5’9 PG Real Run
The Las Vegas PG had one of the best handles at the event. Plays at high speeds with the basketball in his hands. Has the offensive skills to be an elite jitterbug high school point guard.
Nicholas Topolosek 6’1 SG Rise And Grind 2027
Who says fundamentals are dead. The young guard solidified a victory for his Rise and Grind squad, showing clutch shooting down the stretch including knocking down all his late game free throws.
Brayden Kyman 6’8 SF Players Play 2026
Highly skilled four man that showed good vison and passing ability. Shot the ball well, and was a threat to grab and go, showing good accuracy on hit ahead passes for assists.
Dominic Lampe 6’6 SF Rise And Grind 2028
Lampe is an impressive young prospect. He’s athletic with long arms, and was a threat driving downhill and attacking the rim.
Nixis Yamauchi 6’4 SG Hawaii Select 2025
Yamuchi came to the mainland and made a name for himself. He displayed some advanced finishing ability, using euro’s to avoid defenders, finishing at the rim.
Ma’Aqwavious Macklin 6’1 SF LV Aces 2024
The class of 2024 forward is aggressive and showed a nose for the ball, battling in the lane for several in traffic rebounds. His super power is his ability to come away with clean boards in a crowd.
CJ Bostic 6’2 SG Hawaii Select 2025
Bostic was another talented guard from Hawaii. He has a smooth offensive game which included the ability to beat his intial defender. He and Yamauchi formed a dynamic backcourt for Hawaii Select.
